Dr. Niloofar Montazeri received her doctoral degree in construction management from Northeastern University in 2018. She holds a master’s degree in structural engineering and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Her PhD research has been focused on optimal scheduling decision-making for bridge maintenance. In her doctoral dissertation, entitled “multi-objective optimization for life-cycle reliability-based bridge maintenance scheduling” she proposed an advanced optimization methodology for scheduling maintenance of deteriorating superstructure under risk and uncertainty by applying structural performance – system reliability – and probabilistic maintenance cost to enrich the life-cycle maintenance process.
Beyond her research achievements, Niloofar has obtained a wide range of teaching experience over the past years. Her academic accomplishments in the area of civil engineering have been highlighted in her publications and conference presentations. Prior to the construction management PhD program, she spent multiple years in construction industry. She performed in and supervised many successful projects for leading engineering and construction management companies. Niloofar is project controls engineer at Keville Enterprises.
