Completion Date: 2006
Keville Enterprises, Inc. provided on-call state-wide Inspection Services for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority under a two-year, $1M IDIQ contract on its entire 138-mile roadway system. The scope of services included quality assurance inspection on various construction and bridge painting projects associated with the Turnpike’s highways, bridges, tunnels, and facilities. Keville’s inspectors possess NICET, NETTCP, AWS, and NACE Certifications and performed inspections on: Bituminous Concrete, Portland Cement Concrete, Soils, Structural Steel Painting, and miscellaneous construction and repairs on bridges, highways, and tunnels.
Our assignments have included overseeing the work associated with the reconstruction of a 7-mile section of the Turnpike median between the Route 128 Interchange and the Allston-Brighton Toll Plaza, one of the busiest sections of the Authority’s entire 138 mile roadway system. Work included traffic control, demolition, ductwork, electrical cabling, concrete placement and bituminous paving, most of which was performed off-shift during overnight hours. Keville ensured that the sequence and quality of work in each of the four work zones complied with contract standards. We also produced and maintained inspection reports, and updated progress drawings.
